Negotiating cohabitation, parenting, living / loving come into play in these diptych studies of domestic space. With This Must Be the Place, empty master bedrooms of heterosexual couples are photographed and paired with portraits of the married men away from the home at work. I’ve taken a similar approach in The Hostess series that features portraits of married women at work and those same women at home on the evening they are to hostess a party.
